Ellie Goulding is a British singer and songwriter. Her birth name is Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986 in Hereford. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 due to her irresistible electronic pop songs "Starry Eyed" as well as Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. The soprano's quirk and her ability to compose catchy, but deeply honest songs place her on the frontline of popular music of the present along with an independent and artful pop.
